Would you like to have more cash flow right about now? Many of the women entrepreneurs with whom I have been speaking, over the past few weeks, are feeling a quiet sense of desperation when it comes to cash flow.
How do I know for sure and how do I recognize that? I’ve been there! There are so many reasons why, in the summer months, women entrepreneurs struggle to make money and grow their business – core beliefs (nobody does business in July!), lack of commitment, no focus, being the ‘lone ranger’, to the absolute basics in that they don’t have a plan.
Most people spend more time planning their summer vacation than they do mapping out a plan and a strategy for their business. I just don’t get that! I do understand that they may not know HOW to create a plan – but seriously, being in business is all about making a profit.
WHERE DO I START?
It all starts with a decision – a decision to prosper and attract abundance. It starts with a decision to get serious about your business. It starts with the decision that ‘just making enough’ is no longer acceptable.
So – decide now.
SET YOURSELF UP FOR SUCCESS
1. Once you decide that you’re in business ‘for real’ – ensure that you have everything you need in place to set yourself up for success so you, too, can become a ‘wealthy woman leader’:
2. A viable business – there are many ‘hobbies’ that just do not translate into becoming a viable business- and that’s just a fact. Be sure there is a market for that which you want to do/represent/sell.
3. Systems – you must have systems and processes in place to support your success. Do you have a business bank account? Do you have the technology?
4. Support – if you think you can succeed alone, you are so very wrong in your thinking. No ONE has ever succeeded on their own. (Read ‘Think and Grow Rich’ by Napolean Hill). Do you have an assistant (personal, virtual, executive…whatever)? Do you have a coach? Do you have a financial cushion in place so you can make the proper investments in your business as you get up and running?
5. A Plan! – You must have a plan and work the plan. What IS your plan?
BREAK DOWN THE PLAN
I know a lot of this sounds really basic, but I want to meet you where you’re at. I have a plan that lays out my year at a glance – but I also work with a monthly, weekly and daily plan.
I use the 80/20 rule for most areas of my life and, in particular, for my business. 80% of my day is spent on revenue-generating activities – networking, sales calls, follow-up calls, presentations, etc.
At the beginning of each day, I know exactly how many calls I need to make to reach my goals. Do you?
How do you get good at making sales calls? Keep doing them! (Get coaching to help you improve your call content and conversation rate! It’s fun to grow, develop, improve and…transform lives.) When you master the skill of persuasion, you can affect millions of people in this world.
What does your day look like and are you tracking your successes?
TRACKING MY PROGRESS AND SUCCESS!
“What gets written gets measured and what gets measured gets done.” (I didn’t write that – I don’t know who did – but I sure like it.)
I love tracking my progress and my success. My business has grown exponentially because I know my numbers – I know what my revenue target is for the year, I know how many people I need to speak to in order to make my target, I know my sales conversion rate – and I know my cash flow numbers. I meet with my book-keeper regularly and we review my numbers. I love knowing what’s going on in my business when it comes to sales increases, net profit and all that good stuff. I also know that many of you are not tracking your cash flow – how in the world do you have any idea, then, as to whether or not you are making any money – let alone making a profit????
Where and how are you spending your money?
There are tools and techniques available to help you with this. So, make a decision and get them in place.
Conclusion:
Many women entrepreneurs are going around in a state of frustration and scarcity. It’s time to change all that – and become one of the wealthy women leaders of the world. Poverty is not attractive – money touches everything and you need to come from a place of abundance – first in your thinking and then in your actions.
